GRIDCo has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships and advancing human capital development through a recent engagement with the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management (CIHRM) Ghana.

The meeting, held on Tuesday 26th May, 2026, brought together GRIDCo’s Human Resource Director, Mr. Isaac Mumuni, and Director of Corporate Strategy, Mr. Sam Kow Acquah, alongside a CIHRM delegation led by its Chief Executive, Dr. Francis Eduku, and Head of Policy, Mr. Yen Sarpark.

The engagement formed part of preparations for CIHRM’s 2nd National Conference, scheduled for June 10–11, 2026, under the theme “Exploring the Future of Work through Leadership, Technology & Governance.” GRIDCo has committed its support to the conference, underscoring the organisation’s recognition of human resources as a critical driver of organisational success.

Speaking during the meeting, Mr. Mumuni emphasised that the partnership reflects GRIDCo’s appreciation of the vital role human capital plays in the operations of any company saying, “Of all the various resources in any organisation, human resource is one of the most important.” Thus, it is important to support initiatives that promote the growth and development of the Human Resource and supporting CIHRM, aligns with GRIDCo’s broader strategic objectives.

Dr. Eduku expressed gratitude for GRIDCo’s continued support, highlighting the Company’s significant contribution to the success of CIHRM’s previous conference. He described the upcoming event as a key platform for bringing together HR professionals across the country to discuss emerging trends, share insights, and shape the future of the profession in Ghana.

On his remarks, Director, Corporate Strategy, Samuel Kow Acquah explained, the importance of the engagement saying, “One of the pillars of our strategy is development partnerships and institutional collaboration, because the synergies will help our compliance efforts, when dealing with regulatory institutions, such CIHRM.”

The CIHRM Chief Executive, further added, “This event will bring together a lot of top-notch HR expertise in the country. A cross section of topics will come up at the conference, and we will hold several panel discussions so [participants] can ask questions.” Dr. Eduku assured GRIDCo of prominent visibility at the event in recognition of its partnership.

The engagement reflects GRIDCo’s ongoing commitment to fostering collaboration with professional bodies and contributing to the development of human resource capacity in Ghana, while positioning itself as a key stakeholder in shaping the future of work.
