Ing. Mark Baah, with over twenty-eight years in the power sector of Ghana, has a wealth of experience in power system planning, electricity market development, system dispatch operations, infrastructure management and corporate management.

He was appointed Acting Chief Executive of Ghana Grid Company Ltd. in February 2025.

Prior to his appointment, Ing. Baah served as Director, Corporate Strategy, and Advisor to the Chief Executive on the implementation of the Ghana Wholesale Electricity Market from March 2024. From 2022 to 2024, he held the position of Director, Southern Network Department, where he provided leadership in transmission asset maintenance, improvement, and optimisation to ensure the reliable operation of Ghana’s National Interconnected Transmission System (NITS).

Between 2017 and 2022, Ing. Baah served as Director, System Operations, where he was responsible for power system dispatch operations and the development and implementation of the electricity market framework.

He played a pivotal role in the establishment of GRIDCo in 2008, serving as Special Assistant to the first Chief Executive, and contributing significantly to the Company’s successful transition and early operations.

Ing. Baah holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Leeds University Business School, United Kingdom, and a Master of Science (MSc) in Electromechanical Engineering from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, Russia. He is a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE).
