Ing. Ms. Nicholina Noel Nkang-Ma Yembilah is a Civil Engineer who assumed the role of Director, Engineering on April 22, 2025, after serving as the Director, Project Implementation Unit (PIU) from March 1, 2024.

Ing. Yembilah joined GRIDCo from the Volta River Authority (VRA), and has so far, gathered 25 years’ work experience, with extensive experience in project management, procurement management and contract administration. She started her career at the Takoradi Thermal Power Project Office, VRA, and then worked in the Design Section of the Engineering Department of VRA. Ing. Yembilah served as Office Engineer, and Manager, Procurement and Contracts Administration on the erstwhile 330kV WAPP Projects Department. She also served as Manager for the erstwhile Engineering Procurement Section, and then the Lands and Environment Management Section of the Engineering Department of GRIDCo.

In March 2024, Ing. Yembilah was reassigned to the role of Project Director, Project Implementation Unit (PIU) till April 22, 2025, when she was reassigned Director, Engineering.

She holds a Master’s in public administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

Ing. Yembilah also attended the Kharkov State Technical University of Construction and Architecture, Ukraine, specialising in Industrial and Civil Construction (MsC. Civil Engineering, Structures).

She speaks Twi, English and Russian, and also has working language of several Mole-Dagbani languages, Ewe, and Ga.

Ing. Yembilah is a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE); the Women Leaders in Energy (WLE) as well as, Women in Engineering (WinE), Ghana.
