Mrs. Ama Haywood-Dadzie was appointed as the Company Secretary of GRIDCo in July 2023. In her current role, she assists the Board to comply with the constitution of the Company and with enactments which affect the governance and operation of the Company. She is also responsible for advising members of the Board on their responsibilities. Mrs. Haywood-Dadzie maintains and ensures the filing of statutory forms and registers in accordance with all legal requirements, amongst others.

Prior to joining GRIDCo, she served as a State Attorney in the Office of the Attorney General, where she drafted Bills and Subsidiary Legislation and advised on the interpretation of statutes and legal matters submitted by Ministries, Departments and Agencies.

In 2010, Mrs. Haywood-Dadzie joined GRIDCo as Legal Counsel in the Legal Services Department and subsequently rose to the position of Manager, Board Secretariat. In 2022, she was elevated and appointed as the Board Secretary.

Mrs. Haywood-Dadzie is a Notary Public. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Ghana, Legon and a BSc. Degree in Land Economy from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Mrs. Haywood-Dadzie was called to the Bar in 2006 and is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and the Commonwealth Association of Legislative Counsel.
