The Accra Operational Area of GRIDCo bid farewell to the remarkable year of 2023 with an electrifying End-of-Year Party & Awards Event, which brought together the entire staff, supervisors, and guests for an evening filled with celebration and recognition.
In his welcome address, the Welfare Chairman, Mr. Peter Quaye extended greetings to all attendees, expressing appreciation for the collective efforts and accomplishments of the Accra Operational Area throughout the year 2023.
The Area Manager, Ing. Benjamin Ahunu outlined the purpose of the gathering, emphasising the importance of recognising and celebrating the hard work and dedication of staff of the Accra Area.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of the Special Area Recognition Awards by the Director of Southern Network Department (SND), Ing. Mark Baah. Employees, who performed exceptionally were honoured in various Categories such as, “Exemplary Discipline and Neatness”, and “Exceptional Style and Fashion.” Every honouree, from the “Fearless Expresser” to the “Neatest Substation,” received compliments; a testament to the value each individual brought to the GRIDCo team.
Sectional Supervisors and the Area Manager delivered motivational speeches, reflecting on the accomplishments of the past year, and inspiring the team for the challenges and achievements that lie ahead in 2024.
In his closing remarks, Ing. Ahunu extended gratitude for the dedication and hard work of the entire Accra Area Team, urging them to continue the show of positive attitude towards work.
